Rimfire Sporter Match

New for 2017, BERPC will be holding a CMP Rimfire Sporting Match. Rimfire Sporter normally is a .22LR-only match; however, scores will not be submitted to the CMP for this match, so other rimfire calibers will be allowed (see details below). Rules for the competition can be found on the CMP site.

This great introduction to the rifle shooting sports is open to all club members, and there is no match fee. While there is some required and recommended equipment, don't let the lack of a rifle keep you away. The club has two rifles, and other members will be bringing loaners. All you need is 100 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection, and something to lay on.

Course of Fire

The match consists of six (6) courses of fire with 10 rounds each, for a total of 60 rounds for the match. Extra rounds for initial sight-in are recommended. The slow and rapid fire courses will be shot back-to-back at the same target. A 10 minute sight-in period at 50 yards will occur prior to the match, with a 5 minute sight-in period at 25 yards prior to the standing courses of fire. The specific courses of fire are as follows:
